It is active against the fungus T. mentagrophytes (MIC = 25 μg/ml) and the bacteria M. smegmatis, M. rhodochrous, N. asteroides, and N. coeliaca (MICs = 25, 5, 5, and 20 μg/ml, respectively), as well as Actinoplanes species (MIC = 25 μg/ml).
